Grooms Cake Policy

Dont forget the Grooms cake!

Over the years, I’ve been asked many times to create only the groom’s cake while another decorator creates the wedding cake. I truly appreciate every referral and every cake artist who has trusted me enough to send their clients my way. That support has meant a lot to me.

After giving this a lot of thought, I’ve decided to make a small change to my groom’s cake policy.

I’ve always felt that when a cake artist accepts the wedding cake order, they should be able to take care of all of their couple’s cake needs for the wedding. Having two different cake decorators involved with cakes being served at the same wedding can create confusion with delivery, setup and responsibility.

I’ve also been asked on several occasions to repair or fix cakes created by other decorators when both cakes were being served at the same wedding. I don’t believe any cake decorator should be put in the position of being responsible for correcting or repairing another decorator’s work. Each decorator should be able to stand behind the cakes they create.

So, going forward, groom’s cakes will be available exclusively with wedding cake orders through KC Cake Lady when both cakes are being served at the same wedding venue.

If you would like to pick up your groom’s cake yourself or have it delivered to a rehearsal dinner or another event, that is absolutely fine.

This isn't about not appreciating the referrals I've received—quite the opposite. ❤️ I’m incredibly grateful for them. It’s simply a decision I feel is best  and allows me to stand behind the complete cake experience I provide.

Thank you for understanding and for continuing to trust KC Cake Lady with your celebrations. ❤️
